Erotic Images and the Human Brain

there is an article out there which describes an interesting scientific experiment with an even more interesting outcome.
OK, its not really surprising that erotic images elicit a strong response from brain, but what is surprising is that the study was done with women only.

It is generally believed - we've been told this all too often - that men are the more visual creatures who get more easily aroused by erotic images than women. The study shows that this is not the case. The women in the study were shown a series of color slides that contained a lot of different scenes; from water skiers to snarling dogs to partially-clad couples in sensual poses.

But even the images meant to instill fear (snarling dog) did not elicit as strong or as fast an emotional response (measured by electrodes in the scalp) as did the erotic images.
So imagine what the results would have been if the images had not only shown partially-clad couples in sensual poses but full nudity and sexual play - somewhich which, in the US, apparently can't be done in this present mental climate.

If you want the details, they are here:
A new study suggests the brain is quickly turned on and "tuned in" when a person views erotic images.
