Learning Greek - Difficult yet Interesting

OMG - whch in my case doesn't mean Oh My God but Oh My Goddess - Greek is way more difficult than I've ever imagined it! How about you?

If it wouldn't be for the letters of the alphabet we're not acquainted with - being raised on letters that are Roman and Latin in origin - it would be the amazingly compicated grammar we'd still be struggling with. Perimenete? (Are you waiting?), Perimeno! (Keep waiting - forever and ever).

As it is, there are both hurdles one has to deal with, two things to overcome; apart from (as is usual with any new language) teaching ones tongue and lips a few new tricks.

Well, before coming here I imagined that I'd more or less easily pick up a fourth language (it feels good to speak three), but it didn't happen and it's still not happening!

On the other hand, there are so many Greek words embedded in English, Dutch, German - you name it - that there should be a way to come to grips with this language. It's all Greek to Me could perhaps be replaced by Well, that's Greek, of course.
